Always so much fun with this family! Love seeing them every year!!!

I have SO many sessions to share with you all that have been delivered to clients months ago. Posting photos is a task that keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the to do list pile as editing is always number one priority. But down to a few shoots and only weddings left to edit! Yup, even Christmas mini sessions were back in peoples hands weeks ago!! 🙌🏻.

November 3rd…10 years ago today….so many different thoughts and emotions have happened in the past week coming up to this day we lost Eric, my husband. Then today I have experienced all the emotions. Grief is always so unexplainable.

On the tenth year of loss, it was the year I was blessed with the biggest blessing, new life. My beautiful daughter was born. Having her has once again changed my perspective on so many things in a beautiful way.

There has been a heaviness hanging around in the days leading up to today that I have felt on and off. There were so many new firsts happening in my life when ten years ago these were the days that so many lasts happened. Our last day spent together, last hug, kiss, texts, I love you’s, goodbyes, hearing his voice and so, so much more.

There has been so much in the past ten years Eric has missed out on. He has missed out on many firsts for his life as well missing big moments in family and friends lives. So much has happened in my life also that I never dreamt would be a possibility.

Death has taught me a lot. A lot more than I could ever list. Life is short, no matter our age so spend it with the ones who matter most…those that matter will always be there for you and have your back. We always have hugged and kissed goodbye but this is your reminder to love your people hard and tell them how you feel.

Then the biggest thing in life is FAMILY, those in your very immediate circle are the most important and are the ones who really get you through the darkest days. My in-laws, my parents, siblings and friends who are more like family, I’m forever thankful for my circle. As a very wise man said: “The day is never easy but having each other means we can go through the “new life” together.” And together is what has got us through the loss of Eric through all these years.

Eric, you are so very missed and loved by so many. Thank you for being you. xoxo.

When Keely was planning her wedding she said “I love sunflowers and would love photos in them!”

My dad was planting them regardless of me only shooting the weddings I had booked for August (as I took the rest of the month off to spend it as a little family). So I told Keely that as long as they came up and the weather was good to them, the day of her wedding was perfect timing for them to be fully in bloom.

She planned her reception timeline around having enough time to drive out at sunset to have photos in these beautiful flowers!! And my gosh, I’m SO glad she requested this and planned for them!!!

I photographed these two for their engagement, wedding & now their maternity🥹. I know I say this a ton but I’m always SO honored to be asked to continue photographing major milestones in past clients lives.

They have since welcomed the cutest baby boy! Now being a parent myself & knowing how it’s something so unexplainable when you welcome your baby into the world just makes me love these sessions even more!! Getting to be apart & capture a moment of such a very, very amazing chapter in someones lives that passes so quickly is so special.
